se toda unidade só fosse unidade como organização? Mas a “coisa”, na qual acreditamos, é tão somente inventada de acréscimo como fermento para diferentes predicados. Quando a coisa “atua”, isso significa que concebemos todas as demais propriedades, que de resto ainda existem aqui, e momentaneamente estão latentes, como causa de que agora uma única propriedade sobressaia: isto é, tomamos a soma de suas propriedades — x — como causa da propriedade x: o que é inteiramente tolo e aloprado!

Toda unidade só é unidade como organização e combinação: em nada diferente de como uma comunidade humana é uma unidade: o contrário, portanto, da anarquia atomística; por conseguinte, uma configuração de domínio, que significa um, mas não é um.
