Apophantische Als (das): «como apofántico» (el). Inicialmente tematizado en 1922 a propósito de la teoria aristotélica del lenguaje, el término apophantisch empieza a utilizarse con regularidad a partir del semestre de 1924 para designar el «como» que «muestra» en contraposición al «cómo» que «distingue criticamente». A partir de las lecciones del semestre de invierno de 1925-1926, se establece la diferencia entre el «cómo apofántico» y el «cómo hermenêutico». El primer tipo de «cómo» permite ver algo en calidad de algo (por ejemplo, como una mesa grande, cuadrada, elegante, de madera), mientras que el segundo permite comprender el significado de ese algo desde el trasfondo del mundo previamente abierto y comprendido sobre el que se predican diferentes cosas.
